Our two economies and our financial systems are very perplexed, thus it is necessary to provide for periodic meetings to exchange of views on all topics related to primarily the financial sector, but also the possible cooperation in other areas. I think that in this respect, that the cooperation between our ministries is extremely good. In the forthcoming period, it is necessary to increase mutual cooperation especially in the cross – border cooperation. Negotiations came to an end, thus conditions were created that the Government issues the approval to the Ministry of Finance to sign the guarantee for the credit arrangement. The credit user is KAP, and the half of the credit will be use to settle liabilities to suppliers, primarily, for the payment of electricity to EPCG. Second half of the credit will be invested in the restructuring of this company. In order to complete the deal, i.e. to sign the settlement agreement , it is necessary to complete negotiations on restructuring of outstanding liabilities of KAP...

Also, at the outset I would like to thank the organizers for the idea to gather in one place the holders of fiscal and monetary policy in South Eastern Europe. I believe that our this day will be useful in defining the future policy, being at the same a sort of overview of the transition process in the region and summary of pre – crisis, anti - crisis and post – crisis measures. One of the concepts that marks the era of post-cold war period in the South East Europe region is a democratic transition, and a successful transition is possible only with certain variables, among which is unavoidable economic stability...

In the next two months we will agree on the models of support, because some municipalities are facing problems in servicing the debt and tax liabilities. We are willing to prepare contracts that could help in bridging the problems, implying more rational attitude towards new employment...
